Sometimes the stillness is so profoundly steady you feel the forever-ness of it. Your jaw may be dropped, as one is in making their transition, and your skull expanded beyond your imagination. You know every cell in your being is recalibrating…harmonizing.
And you hang with it in all its clarity as it feels so yummy…so good.
It can even feel like a flash in time. But after a slow, gradual emergence, you realize two and a half hours of stunning wakeful alertness have gone by.
This is what meditation is like for me sometimes when I meditate after writing.
There is something about writing that clears the deck, allowing for more. More stillness, more expansion, more well-being beyond words.
When done effortlessly, writing is transformational. This is why studies dating back decades found writing to be associated with trauma recovery.
Let me know in the comments how writing impacts you personally or in meditation.
